Report Card Time

Mia got her second Third Grade report card last week. All A's and B's! We went to Outback Steakhouse to celebrate. I think Mia ate two loaves of the bread all by herself.

Front row seat to "Puppy Bowl"

I was folding laundry earlier today and realized our two dogs were being quite rambunctious fairly close to the baby swing where Gabriel was taking a break from his tiring day of napping. I was about to tell them to stop their rough housing when I looked over and noticed that Gabriel was having a good time watching and laughing at them so I got out the camera. All we need now is 9 more dogs to have our own Puppy Bowl team.

2 Month Check-Up & Lots of Tests

Gabriel had his two month check-up with the doctor today. He is now 22 1/2 inches long and weighs 12 1/2 pounds. The doctor said he seems to be a very happy and healthy boy. The nurse asked why we picked today to come in because she didn't want to give this cute baby his 4 SHOTS that he needed during this check-up. She had another nurse help her so it would not take as long. He only cried for a few minutes and was asleep before we left the office.

Here are some pictures from the last week.

As for Miss Mia she has been a very busy girl. Last week she had a math test, a science test, and a social studies test and got A(s) on all three. Yesterday she had her very first multiplication test and got an A+!! On Saturday she went ice skating for the first time ever with her Brownie troop and had lots of fun.

Rolling ALREADY?

Gabriel is getting very strong, holding his head up a little bit longer each time he is on his tummy. But last night during his "Tummy Time" he actually rolled over. I was sure that it was an accident so I put him back on his tummy and he did it again. I didn't think he would be doing this for at least another month. Living in the technically advanced age that we do, I looked on one of the many "your baby will do this around this age" web-sites out there and found out it is possible as early as 2 months old babies can start rolling over from front to back. I guess we will see if he will do it again. I will keep you posted.

And so it begins...

I have been wanting to start a Blog for quite a few months and I am finally getting around to it. Is it due to being extremely busy with the Holidays and having a new baby or just being lazy? I am not sure maybe a little of both. But now it is started and as soon as I get into the grove of being a "blogger" I hope you will enjoy reading about what is going on with The O'Connor Family! I am going to start off with a few new pictures of Mia and Gabriel over the last few months and we will go from there.
